Quick Bio

Abe is licensed to practice law in both New York ( since 1989) and Ontario (since 1979), having received his law degree from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec.  

During his career, he has served as Chair of the Natural Resources Committee of the Ontario Bar Association and provided advice to various non profit organizations. 

His main area of practice is commercial law having advised financial, heavy industrial, real estate and retail enterprises, whose operations were primarily located in the United States and Canada, as well as elsewhere in the world.  Some of his clients were publicly listed for trading in the United States and Canada. 

Abe provides cross border advice on:

  • commercial practices which assist the growth of the business and achievement of shareholder goals
  • formation and operation of corporate entities, joint ventures, partnerships, public/private projects, licensing and related documentation
  • financings both public and private for large and small enterprises
  • best corporate practices with respect to regulatory compliance, and meeting the expectations of shareholders
  • resolving regulatory issues including environmental
  • mergers and acquisitions
  • purchases and sales of businesses and commercial assets
  • human resources issues including, hiring, dismissal, retention and litigation
  • management and protection of intellectual property
